Data Processing and Privacy Notice

Last updated: July 20, 2026. This notice explains, in practical terms, which data is processed where when you use LeadFOMO, and who is responsible for it. It supplements the Privacy Policy.

1. Two kinds of data

LeadFOMO involves two clearly separated kinds of data: (a) account and licensing data that Properfame processes to operate the Service, and (b) research records that you collect with the desktop Software and that stay on your own computer.

2. Data Properfame processes

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (stored as a modern hash), and optional two-factor secrets (encrypted at rest).
  • Billing data: plan, order, payment status, and invoice details. Card, UPI, and banking details are entered with the payment provider, not on our forms.
  • Licensing data: license keys, plan entitlements, activation events, and a one-way digest of device hardware identifiers used for device binding. Raw hardware identifiers never leave your device.
  • Operational data: portal session records, security logs, support messages, and email delivery events, used to run and secure the Service.

Properfame is responsible for this data and processes it to deliver the Service you purchased, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, and provide support. Details on retention and your rights are in the Privacy Policy.

3. Data the Software processes on your computer

  • Research records you collect — business names, addresses, publicly displayed contact fields, ratings, links, and similar — are written to a local database file and to export files on your device.
  • Research history, activity logs, and app settings are stored locally.
  • Properfame does not receive, store, or have access to your research records, your search queries against sources, or your exports.

For this data, you act as the data controller (or equivalent role under your law). You decide what to collect, why, how long to keep it, how to secure it, and whether to share it. If your research includes personal data — for example a sole trader’s contact details — privacy and data-protection laws such as the GDPR or India’s DPDP Act may apply to you, including duties around lawful basis, transparency, and deletion. LeadFOMO cannot fulfil those duties for you.

4. What the Software sends to Properfame

  • License verification and heartbeat requests: license status, plan entitlements, app version, and the device digest described above.
  • Update checks: the installed version, so the service can offer the correct signed update.
  • Nothing else: no research records, no source queries, no collected contact details.

5. Processors and transfers

Properfame uses vetted service providers to run the portal — hosting, database, email delivery, rate-limiting infrastructure, and payment processing. These providers process account and licensing data on Properfame’s instructions. The Privacy Policy lists the categories of providers and how to raise privacy requests or complaints.

6. Security

The portal uses hashed passwords, encrypted secrets, signed licenses, HTTP-only session cookies, rate limiting, and role-based access controls. Research records on your computer are protected by your own device security; we recommend disk encryption and access controls appropriate to the data you collect.

7. Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be sent through the contact page or the grievance channel in the Grievance Redressal Policy.
