Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026. This Acceptable Use Policy applies to the LeadFOMO desktop software and the LeadFOMO online portal operated by Properfame (together, the “Service”). It forms part of the Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with it, do not use the Service.
1. Intended purpose
LeadFOMO is designed and licensed only for lawful business research: local business discovery, market research, and the collection and organisation of business information that is publicly available from the sources you choose to research. It is a research assistant, not a mass-messaging tool, a surveillance tool, or a means of accessing non-public data.
2. Permitted use
- Researching publicly displayed business information for lawful business, marketing-research, or academic purposes.
- Organising, reviewing, correcting, and exporting records you have collected lawfully.
- Using exported records in your own tools and workflows, subject to applicable law and the terms of the sources involved.
3. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to:
- collect, attempt to collect, or process information unlawfully, or in violation of privacy or data-protection laws that apply to you or to the people and businesses you research;
- access, or attempt to access, accounts, systems, or data without authorisation, or probe, disrupt, or overload any website, platform, or network;
- bypass, defeat, or attempt to defeat security measures, authentication, technical restrictions, or access controls of any website or platform;
- violate the terms of service, robots directives, or usage policies of the sources you research where those terms apply to you;
- collect sensitive personal information (such as government identifiers, financial account details, health information, or information about children);
- harass, stalk, threaten, or harm any person, or monitor identifiable individuals rather than businesses;
- send spam or any communication that violates applicable anti-spam, telemarketing, or consent requirements (see the Anti-Spam and Responsible Outreach Policy);
- sell, publish, or otherwise distribute data that was collected unlawfully, or misrepresent the origin or accuracy of collected data;
- commit or facilitate fraud, deception, or any other unlawful or harmful activity;
- share, resell, or sublicense license keys, or use the Software beyond the device and plan limits you purchased; or
- reverse-engineer, tamper with, or attempt to defeat the Software’s licensing, integrity, or update mechanisms.
4. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for how you use the Software, including which sources you research, what data you collect, how you store and secure it, whether you have a lawful basis to process it, how long you retain it, and whether and how you contact anyone using it. Laws differ by country and by the location of the businesses and people concerned; you are responsible for knowing and following the rules that apply to your research and your outreach. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice.
5. Product limitations
The Software collects only information that the researched source makes publicly visible at the time of research. Fields can be missing, outdated, or inaccurate, and sources can change or restrict availability at any time. The Software does not verify the accuracy of collected records and does not grant you any rights over the researched sources or their content.
6. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate accounts and licenses involved in violating this policy, as described in the Terms and Conditions. Where required, we may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities. We do not monitor your local research database, which stays on your computer; enforcement is based on information available to us, such as account, licensing, and portal activity, and reports we receive.
7. Reporting misuse
To report suspected misuse of LeadFOMO, contact us through the contact page. Include enough detail for us to investigate.
